ABOUT US AND WHAT WE OFFER
Greyton Bicycle Hire provides people of all ages the means with which to view Greyton and the surrounding areas by bicycle or simply to have fun by riding one of the ever increasing number of tracks. Greyton is quite popular with cyclists and there are allready three annual cycling events in and around the area; the Cape Epic, which makes our village feel like a city for 2 days of the year, currently being the biggest. There is a Mountain Bike shop in Greyton called "Rockhopper", run by Corne Barnard. Here you can buy a bike, have your bike repaired or buy sport gear.
THE MOUNTAIN
Greyton is a splendid village with an awesome mountain behind it, which us locals, being busy much of the time, occasionally tend to forget about.( in this sense we are perhaps akin to our city friends in Cape Town who sometimes forget about the glorious Table Mountain even although they see it every day.)
ROUTES,BIKES,ACCESORIES
The scenery on the bike routes in and around Greyton is really great .We currently have 12 bicycles. All bicycles have lightweight aluminium frames and have been setup with comfortable seats. We have added slightly bigger tyres to most of the bikes which adds to the overall comfort of the ride aswell. Two of our mountain bikes have full hydraulic disc brakes and remote lockout and computers will soon be added . Baby carriers , helmets, water bottles,walkie talkies and rucksacks with repair kits are all available on request at a minimal surcharge ( no surcharge for helmets )

Thank you for visiting our website.We hope that it has helped to give you an idea of what we can offer you. There are a number of other activities available in Greyton, such as, horse riding, walking in the mountains (spectacular - you can even walk all the way to McGregor and back if you wish ), swimming in the river or one of the dams , canoeing, yoga, aryuvedic healing ....etc,etc... , but try to take at least an hours time out to take a walk into the nature reserve,stare at the mountain and feel the stilness and remind yourself that amidst all the chaos of life, there are always moments of tranquility and peace .
CYCLING IS FUN AND FLEXIBLE
The best ways to take in the splendour of Greyton are: By foot, by bicycle, or by horse-cart.Of the three,i like to think that cycling offers the most flexibility as you can go as slow or as fast as you like, you can stop and start when you like and you burn lots of calories - lastly, it's a bundle of fun ;-)
HIRE RATES
Our rates are: R150 per day / R400 for 3 days / R 650 for 5 days / R800 for 7 days
Half day rentals are dependent on availabality and cost R90 per half day.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO WHEN HIRING FROM US
You will need to leave a deposit with us of R500 which is returnable. We also require some form of valid identification to be left with us, which will be returned
to you upon the return of the bicycle/s.
